SurvivalMMO is a zombie survival MMO, formerly known as StarGateZ. This is an independently run fan server and is not affiliated with Hammerpoint Interactive in any official capacity. Here is a helpful tutorial to get you started.
Basic information
You should not only be on the lookout for zombies, but also players. Players are very hostile and will kill you on sight most of the time. I would recommend you to find a group of friends to play with, or join a clan. Zombies take 1 hit in the head to kill using any melee weapon, and take 6 hits to the head using your fists. You can also kill zombies by hitting them in the body or legs, but it will take twice as many hits. You need to maintain your hunger and thirst. Once you are low on food and/or health, you will slowly start losing health. SurvivalMMO offers a PvE (Player versus Environment) server which player damage is disabled, and we also offer private servers which you can put your own password on.
Getting started
You will first need to register an account, obviously. To do so, visit this link, enter your email and click 'Get Serial'.
Now you will be shown a serial number. Remember this number. Write it down somewhere. If you ever forget your password, you can use this key to reset it.
Now you will need to download either the launcher or full client. Click here to download the launcher, or click here to download the full client. Once downloaded, extract the downloaded .zip file using Windows Explorer or WinRAR to any folder you wish. Once complete, launch the 'SGlauncher.exe' executable application. You will be presented with a log-in screen. Press 'Register account'.
You will now be asked for a serial number. Enter your serial number which you earlier got and press 'Validate'.
You will now be asked for an email and password. Use the same email address you used when you got your serial number, and enter any password you wish. Now press 'Register'.
You will now automatically be logged in. Wait for the launcher to say 'Press Play to launch game', and press 'Play game'.
The next time you start your launcher, it will ask for your email and password.
Your game will now launch, and you will be presented with an empty character screen. To start customizing your character, press 'Click to create a new survivor' in any of the five given slots.
Enter a name for your character, and look for a character you think looks appealing to you. Press 'Unlock'.
Press 'Unlock' under 'Unlock with game dollars' one more time.
Once you customized your character, and have chosen a name, press 'Create new survivor'.
Now that you character is created, press the SurvivalMMO logo at the top-middle of your screen.
Unless you have a private server you own or can join, press 'Official servers'.
You will now be presented with a server list. If you are a new player, or just want to loot, join our PvE server on the map Outlands. If you want to loot but also have the chance of coming across other players, join any of our four other PvP (Player versus Player) servers. Once a server is selected, double-click it or press 'Join server'.
You will now start loading in-game.
You will start with a flashlight, one bandage, one can of soda and one granola bar. The granola bar will restore 25% of your energy, used to sprint. If you happen to spawn far from a town or loot spot, use this granola bar to get that extra energy to keep running!
Now you are ready to kill zombies, players and survive.
